Narcissism originates from the Greek mythology, where the young Narcissus fell in love with his own self reflection in a pool. The term was later popularized by the doctor Sigmund Freud. The American psychiatric association (APA) has included narcissistic personality disorder, as part of the DSM since 1968. Do you suspect yourself growing with a narcissistic parent?
